Autumn Break in Majorca

An Autumn Break in Majorca

If you’re looking for a place to go in the autumn add Majorca to your list! My partner and I decided to find a last-minute escape to the sun this September, and choosing the little Balearic island of Majorca (that was still reaching 30 degrees & only two hours from London) was the perfect getaway plan.

September is a great time to go as although it’s still full of tourists, its mainly couples or older friends, so if you’re looking for a getaway without the ‘lads on tour’ drama it’s a lovely time of year to plan your escape.

 PALMS

We stayed tucked away from all the Palma hub bub and found a beautiful guest house in Manacor. Simple, clean, modern décor with a big pool and a mountain view, not bad. Albeit a drive from anywhere with civilisation it was nice to come home to pure silence and relaxation after a day of exploring busy beaches.

MANACOR HOME

MANACOR HOME 2

We rented a car and in just 4 days managed to explore the whole island (it’s very small) Majorca has everything, beautiful beaches, mountain escapes, & even popular party life if that’s how you get down. However, the main attraction is the coastline, made up of many small coved beaches, you feel like you’re a million miles from home. Crystal clear Mediterranean ocean, white sand and green life surrounding the entire bay makes every spot, the perfect spot, which makes it very easy to lose track of time.

COVE BEACH

The highlight of our trip was definitely a drive down to Cap de formentor, not only is the view at the top amazing as you look over the vast ocean blue, but the bottom is just as beautiful. Feeling like you have just stumbled across a best kept secret it was by far my favourite beach spot of the trip. The shallow shore meant you could walk right out (with no swimming effort required) and look back towards the white coast line protected by its mountains.

MAJORCA MOUNTAINS AUDI MOUNTAIN

If you haven’t been yet, add this to your 2018 bucket list, an inexpensive (out of season) hot, mini trip that you’ll never forget.
